In Google Calendar, you can add new calendar events to schedule events, or responding to existing invites to let the organizer know whether or not you will be attending.
To create a new calendar invite:
- Click any time on your calendar that doesn't have an event scheduled, or click the "Create +" button in the upper left corner.
- Add a title to the event, and any event details.
- On the right, under "Guests," start typing the name of the person and choose someone from your contacts. You can also type an email address to invite people who aren't in your contacts list.
- At the top of the page, click "Save."
To respond to a new calendar invite:
- Open the invitation email or the event on your calendar
- Next to "Going?", select an option to indicate your attendance.
