- You can record in Castify from your Chromebook. To open up the recording interface, click the Chrome Extension Icon on the top right of your Google Chrome browser:
- If you haven’t finished your webcam and microphone setup yet, complete those steps.
- When you record, you can select whether or not to:
- Have your microphone on so you can talk on the video.
- Have your webcam on so you can show things on it on the video.
- Share your screen or browser tab (“This Tab” or “Full Screen”).
- If you want to only record with your microphone and webcam, click “Webcam only” and have your microphone enabled.
- Click “Record” at the bottom when you are ready.
- While recording, you can click your Chrome Extension, as shown, and Restart, Pause, or End the recording.
- Once you end the recording, the editor will pop up where you can name it, describe it, and edit the video.
- To share your recording with your teacher, click “Share” on the top right, then under “Add People”, type in your teacher’s email address.
7. Click "Send Invites". Your teacher will receive an email with a link to your video. The box will close.
8. If you need to share the link to the video in another assignment or Google Doc, you click the Share Icon on the video (top image) and then the "Copy Share Link" button (bottom image). Paste that link into your assignment or Google Doc, as instructed by your teacher.
