If something isn't working properly in Google Chrome, clearing your cache and cookies is one of the first things you should try in order to fix the issue. Here are the steps for how to clear your cache and cookies in Google Chrome:
Note: If you are running into issues accessing ORCA programs on a different browser than Google Chrome, please note that we only support Google Chrome. Our expectation is that students will download Google Chrome on any device that they are using in order to access school.
- Open up Chrome
- Click the three vertical dots in the top right corner of your browser to enter the Chrome Menu
- Choose "Delete Browsing Data" from the menu. Paste this link in your browser URL if you are having troubles finding this option: chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
- A new tab should open showing your Chrome settings
- Select Advanced at the top right of the new window
- From the Time Range drop-down menu, choose All Time
- Make sure that the boxes for "Cookies and other site data," "Site settings" and "Cached images and files" are all checked.
- You can uncheck any other boxes if you don't want to be logged out of accounts or have your saved passwords or download history removed.
- Click "Clear data" and close out of google chrome, then re-open google chrome.
Added step: If you run into the issue of "Addition to more Google accounts disabled", please try shutting down the Chromebook device completely by holding down the power button, and then turning it back on. From there, sign into the Chromebook device and try to load Chrome again.
