By default, most students will receive Canvas notifications as push notifications to their Gmail account, providing a backup if a Canvas message is deleted.
You can recover a Gmail message from the 'Trash' within 30 days.
Note: If a Gmail message has been deleted from the Trash and it has been more than 30 days since deletion, the message is only recoverable for an additional 25 days. During this time, please contact Tech Support to request recovery. After the 25-day recovery window, the message is permanently deleted and cannot be restored.
