For Windows: open a command prompt and type "ipconfig /flushdns"
For Mac: open a terminal window and type "sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder"
Update 1:35pm PST: Zoom has confirmed that they are actively working on the issue and have identified the root cause related to domain name resolution problems on their end. While services are not fully restored yet, things are slowly starting to come back online. We're continuing to monitor the situation closely and will share more updates as soon as we know the platform is fully back up and running. In the meantime, users may still experience trouble accessing Zoom or launching meetings through Canvas.
Issue recorded at 12:28pm PST: We're aware of a current issue where users are unable to access Zoom through Canvas. When attempting to launch a Zoom session, the page redirects to an error message: "Server IP address could not be found." This means teachers are unable to start or host their scheduled live classes, and students are unable to join.
This issue appears to be affecting all users across the system, not just those accessing Zoom through Canvas. We've tested this on our end and confirmed that the Zoom login page is also unavailable when accessed directly.
At this time, there is no known workaround. We're monitoring the situation and will update this article as soon as we have more information.
We are looking into whether this is part of a larger outage with Zoom and will update staff once we know more. If you receive reports from families or staff, feel free to reassure them that this is a known issue and being actively investigated.
