If your student is withdrawing or graduating from ORCA, the tech team will get in touch with you to help you return your school chromebook. Students returning to ORCA in the fall will not need to return their Chromebooks at the end of the school year.
Starting the return process:
If you are wondering about returning your chromebook, but haven't reached out to ORCA yet to initiate the withdrawal process for your student(s), please get in touch with ORCA at info@oregoncharter.org to un-enroll your students. The tech team will reach out about chromebook returns once your student has been un-enrolled by ORCA, or once they graduate. Please note that it can take a few days for the withdrawal process to complete before the tech team will reach out with chromebook return instructions.
Returning the chromebook:
After your student has graduated or been withdrawn by ORCA, the tech team will send you an email detailing the chromebook return process. Additionally, we will send an empty box with a pre-paid return label in it to send the chromebook back in. If you have multiple students unenrolling, you will be receiving either a larger box, or multiple return boxes. It does not matter which Chromebook goes into which return box.
We send return boxes and prepaid shipping label to the address your student(s) have on file with ORCA. If you have moved from the address on file, please reply to our chromebook return message as soon as possible, and we will make sure that we ship to the correct address.
Inside the return box we send you will find a prepaid UPS return label, a strip of tape you can use to reseal the box, and a set of instructions for your return. If you would like to find the closest UPS drop off site, you may use the UPS location tool on their website, or you can hand your package to any UPS driver. Please return any relevant Chromebooks you have in your possession and their power adapters. Feel free to keep any curriculum you may have received throughout the year; we do not request that any curriculum is returned.
