The Chrome Reader extension helps make websites easier to read by removing ads and other distractions. Follow the steps below to install and use it on your Chromebook:
- Go directly by clicking this link: Chrome Reader Extension.
- Click the Add to Chrome button, then click Add Extension when asked to confirm. The extension will be added to your browser.
- Click the puzzle piece icon at the top-right of Chrome, find Chrome reader mode in the dropdown, and pin it to your toolbar by clicking the pin icon. Once the pin is blue, that means it's pinned.
- When you visit a page you'd like to simplify, click the Chrome reader mode icon, and the page will reload in a clean, easy-to-read format.
- You can change the theme, font/font size, line height, column width, and more when you click the Chrome reader mode icon and click the gear icon on the top-right.
