Not being able to log in to your accounts can be incredibly frustrating, but don't worry, we've got you covered.
Make sure that the email address you're logging in with is correct
Student accounts have slightly different email addresses than their teacher counterparts. A student account has the following layout:
- Last two digits of your Graduation year
- First two letters of your first name
- Your last name
For example, for Francisco Montes who is graduating in 2023, it would be:
23frmontes@student.oregoncharter.org
That student part is important and does need to be included. If this is your first time logging in, your Chromebook should automatically fill this in. Double check that this is included, otherwise you won't be able to log in.
Make sure that your keyboard layout is correct
Ctrl + Space + Shift to cycle through keyboard layouts. Continue to click those keys together until it reads "US" next to the time in the bottom right hand of the screen. Then input your password.
Try logging in on another device
If you have another device such as a phone or laptop, you can try logging in on there -- this can help narrow down if your password isn't working or if there's something wrong with your Chromebook. Try logging into the Chrome browser following the steps outlined here in the applicable guide:
How do I access ORCA programs on a Windows Device?
How do I access ORCA programs on a Mac OS device?
How do I access ORCA programs on an iOS device?
How do I access ORCA programs on an Android device?
If you are able to successfully login with the same username and password on another device, there may be something wrong with your Chromebook. In that case, please reach out to the Support Center in order to have this fixed.
Unable to log in with another device
If you're unable to log in from another device, it sounds like there may be something wrong with either the password provided or your account. Please follow along with the steps outline in the below article to get in touch with the Support Center.
