This guide will walk you through the process of signing into Zoom on a personal Windows device using SSO, and how to join your live Zoom class session directly from your Canvas course. Before beginning the steps in this guide, please make sure that you have followed the steps in the guide linked below first before continuing on with the steps in this guide article.
How do I access ORCA programs on a Windows OS device?
After successfully completing the steps in the guide above, you're ready to begin the process outlined below:
- On the Zoom application sign-in page, select the option labeled “SSO.” This allows you to sign in using your institution’s login credentials. If you are still signed into a personal Zoom account, please sign out of that account and continue to follow the step prior.
- Another popup will appear to open the Zoom meeting. Click on "Open Zoom Meetings".
From there, you will have been signed into your ORCA Zoom application.
-
Next, find and select the course where your Zoom live session is scheduled, and click on "Join" to join the live class session.
Another popup with Zoom will show up like in Step 3, so you'll need to click on "Open zoom.us" again.
-
You should now be in the waiting room for your live class session. Once your teacher (the host) lets you in, you can then click on "Join with computer audio".
You have now successfully joined your live class session on a personal Windows device!
