When School is not yet in session
When there is no active term, such as during the summer, or before school starts, Courses will appear in the "Future" section of Canvas. One the first day of the next term (start of school, start of Semester 2, etc), the courses for that term will appear on the dashboard.
When School is in session
At the start of a new semester, some students may notice that their courses from last semester are still appearing on their dashboard, and all of their new courses are missing. This is usually caused by old "favorite" courses, keeping them pinned to the dashboard. To correct this, follow these steps:
Note: If you are a new student, or if you try these steps, but you do not see your current semester courses listed in "All Courses," please reach out to info@oregoncharter.org to have your enrollments for the semester added.
- Click "Courses" on the left in Canvas.
- At the bottom of the list, select "All Courses"
- In the "All Courses" menu, you should notice that some of your past courses have a orange star to the left of their name indicating that the course has been "favorited." Click on each of the orange stars to de-selected them. If no courses are favorited, only your current semester courses will appear on the dashboard
- Once all your past courses are un-favorited, you can always favorite new courses if you don't want each active course to appear on your dashboard.
